I can’t believe how many cool things I’ve been able to shoot with my camcorder pen. I

I just got a high definition 720p (!!!) camcorder pen and I’ve been carrying it around with me everywhere.

It’s amazing the film you can accumulate when no one knows you are filming. I’ve come to the conclusion that the people who see hidden cameras only as “spy gear” – namely something to catch someone doing something they should not be doing – , well, they’re missing out on the real fun.

We live in a reality show kind of world. What better way to REALLY capture your life than with a hidden camera. Here’s why:

People will act the way they always act.

Kids won’t mug and make silly faces when you try to film them.

Your wife won’t say “stop that, I’m fat” or something similar to ruin an otherwise terrific movie clip.

What’s an action camera???

It’s a small, self-contained digital video camera-recorder, usually with simple controls that you can mount on a helmet, a handlebar, a knapsack, a car, a wall, wherever you want.

The idea is that you can get perspectives that you can’t get with a regular video camera.

We use the term “POV” all the time to refer to a camera that gives perspective from the action side of things, NOT the spectator side of things.

That’s why they started putting those cool cars inside NASCAR cars a long time ago. That’s a pretty cool POV.
